15 Zaheer: Eat.Sleep.Play Hockey.

Hi, I'm Zaheer. In this little paragraph, I will be telling you about myself. I love the colour pink because it's so bright and optimistic. Some sports I like are hockey, soccer, golf, volleyball, and basketball. But my favourite sport is hockey. It's in my blood. I could live on an ice rink. I love Michael Jackson, and Phil Collins. Those are my favourite singers. I love the bands Genesis, Survivor, The Bee Gees, Bob Seger And The Silver Bullet Band, ACDC, Fleetwood Mac, Rush, and just old classic artists. My favourite hockey team is the Toronto Maple Leafs (No, Habs and senators fans, the leafs do not suck.) I love to hang out with my friends and family. They're extremely important to me. So that's a little bit about me!!!!!!!!!

Stanley Cup Finals Approaching! #31

posted May 23, 2014, 6:19 AM by Unknown user   [ updated May 30, 2014, 6:24 AM by Unknown user ]

Yesterday was a sad day. I can't believe the Habs lost to the rangers. The Rangers will rewrite the history from 20 years ago, when Mark Messier and the New York Rangers made it to the cup finals. I sooooo wanted the Habs to beat the rangers, and the Habs ranked higher than the rangers, in the beginning of the post season. The last time a Canadian team won the Stanley Cup was the Montreal Canadiens in 1993. Beware the underdogs of the playoffs, they can be very dangerous and deceptive. I just hope that Chicago wins. I love the Blackhawks, but I also love the Kings. We will just have to see how it turns out. On the other hand, The Washington Capitals signed Barry Trotz as their head coach. I wonder how that will turn out.

Conference Finals SOOOOON!!!! #30

The conference are coming!!! I am sooooo happy that Montreal beat Boston. I hope that Montreal makes the finals, then they'll get killed by Anaheim. The funny part about the Boston Montreal series is that the last goal went of Chara's foot. He played such a bad game last night. The Boston team members are so unsportsmanlike. When they were shaking hands, Lucic didn't shake Weise's hand, and Weiss said that Lucic threatened him on the ice. I hate seeing that, because hockey is a competitive game, but if you lose then yo can't be saying crap about the other team. Accept the loss. Lucic says Weise' is a big baby, but Lucic is the real baby.

Playoffs, And More #29

The playoffs are winding down, and each of the series' are getting INTENSE!!! I think the most entertaining series is the Boston vs Montreal dries. At the moment, the series is tied 2-2, Boston had won the last game 1-0 in overtime, and the series just keeps going back and forth. Now aside from this, something sad has happened in the NHL. Rangers' Martin St. Louis' mother had passed away. That must be hard for anybody to take, although he will still play in game 5 vs Pittsburgh. On a brighter note (for me at least), Randy Carlyle's contract has been extended for 2 years. I can put aside what happened in the season, he is a great coach, and he did bring the leafs into the playoffs last season.

Playoff Update! #28

One thing that surprises me is that Anaheim is losing in the series. Well, they are playing the L.A Kings, and they do have stronger goal-tending then the ducks. My team for the Stanley Cup is Anaheim, and their losing in the series. I don't want to lose my family pool for round 2. I already won the first round, and the funny part is my little sister came second, and she doesn't know a thing about any of the teams. The most exciting series is Montreal and Boston. I love how they are both Original 6 teams, and the series is just sooooo intense. I'm rooting for Montreal because they are the only Canadian team in the playoffs....now that i think of it, I should' have chosen Montreal as my Stanley Cup team. Darn.

ROUND 2!!! #27

Round one is over, and it's been a wild ride. Montreal sweeps, Detroit loses badly to the big bruins. I don't know if I'm winning the family pool (That's what we do in our home). Round 2 will be awesome, with awesome match ups. I think that it is really funny how Ryan miller gets traded from a last place team to a really good team, and he gets his chance in the playoffs and then blows his chance, and his team gets bumped out of the 1st round. My theory is that Anaheim will win the Stanley Cup because they look like a team with a lot of determination, but I'm just not sure about their goaltending. Well, we must wait and watch.

The playoffs are going to start soon!! Unfortunately, my favourite team, The Maple Leafs, didn't make it, and Randy Carlyle's job is on the line. The Leafs did acquire Brendan Shanahan, former NHL Player, and 3 time Stanley Cup winner, as President of the leafs. I hope he will be a good change to the team. The playoffs are starting, and The Montreal Canadiens (the only Canadian team in the playoffs), are looking to PK Subban to take on the big leadership role. Here are the match ups :

Winding Down The Regular Season #25

posted Apr 8, 2014, 6:23 AM by Unknown user   [ updated Apr 8, 2014, 6:23 AM by Unknown user ]

So, the end of the regular season of the 2013-2014 NHL season is coming. I am really excited to see what the match ups will be. For some reason, the first round of the post season is always the most exciting. My dad and I always bet some money and we create our pics for the first round. My favourite team , The Maple Leafs are most likely not going to make the playoffs. They need to beat Tampa Bay tonight to stay alive. We need to win the rest of our games, and Columbus has to lose all of their games, as well as New Jersey. The playoff clinched teams are New York Rangers, Tampa Bay, Montreal, St. Louis, Anaheim, Colorado, San Jose, Chicago, and Los Angeles. Boston has clinched Conference, and Pittsburgh has clinched division.

The Leafs Tank 8???!!! AAAAHHH!#24

All of the leafs fans are talking about the big incident that happened: The leafs lost 8 games in a row. I've never seen this happen in my life. This is just outrageous! How could they let these important games slip away. we needed these games to clinch a playoff spot. When the leafs beat the L.A Kings 9 games ago, they had an 87% chance of making the playoffs. Now, they have a 6.5% chance. We need to win games and we need teams like Detroit, Washington, Columbus, and New Jersey to lose their games. Tonight, the leafs play the Calgary Flames, and they need a win. Let's see how it all plays out in the last 7 games for Toronto.

Macklemore Song Lyrics Response #23

The lyrics to the song have a very deep meaning to them, and Macklemore did a very good job of sending the message. To me, this song was to tell people that we should respect the gay people. It's not like they're aliens, or anything like that. They're normal people. Sometimes, it can be tough to talk about gay people. We shouldn't make them feel out of place, and we should treat them like normal people.
